zk-SNARK

A specific, widely used kind of zero-knowledge proof whose name stands for "zero-knowledge succinct non-interactive argument of knowledge." Its appeal is that the proofs are tiny and quick to verify, though many versions require a one-time trusted setup; it powers privacy coins and zero-knowledge rollups (see Zero-knowledge proof, Trusted setup, Rollup).
